Which links are paid

ScamCallCheck participates in the NordVPN affiliate programme through the Awin network. Where a NordVPN link appears — on the protection guide and, when the reports on a number describe a phishing, impersonation, or other scam that puts personal details at risk, on that number's page — it is a paid affiliate link. We may earn a commission if you subscribe after following it. You pay no more than you would otherwise. Awin's publisher tag, which sets the cookies that credit us, loads only where you have agreed to it — and the links themselves keep working whether you agree or not.

Every such link is labelled "paid partner link" where it appears, and is marked rel="sponsored" for search engines. NordVPN is currently our only commercial partner, so every product link on the site is a paid one. Where a number's reports describe a problem NordVPN does not address — nuisance and robocall complaints, which no VPN blocks — the page shows no product at all rather than an ill-fitting one.

Affiliate links carry a tag identifying which page sent the visit. They never carry the phone number you searched, your report, or any other lookup data.

Commercial relationships do not affect the data

Affiliate relationships never affect a phone number's risk score, category, complaint totals, community reports, moderation, or removal decisions. Partners cannot pay to change, suppress, or promote a number page.

Recommendations are optional

You never need to purchase a product to search numbers or submit a report. A paid option is only ever shown as a possible next step for a situation the page's own evidence already describes, and a number with no relevant reports shows no offer at all.
